Partial differential Equations

differential equations

In the post, we define Partial differential Equations and also provide related examples so that the learners van understand the concept easily.

Partial differential Equations

A differential equation involving partial derivatives of the dependent variables with respect to more than one independent variable  is called ordinary differential equations.

Examples:

  1. \frac{d^2y}{dx^2}+\lambda y=0
  2. y^2 \frac{\partial z}{\partial x}+y \frac{\partial z}{\partial y}=ax
  3. x \frac{\partial z}{\partial x}+y \frac{\partial z}{\partial y}=nx
  4. \frac{\partial^2 u}{\partial x^2}+ \frac{\partial^2u}{\partial y^2}+ \frac{\partial^2u}{\partial z^2}=0
